The Ceiling 01:55
Relaxing on the ceiling I was marooned up there The sky is the carpet Ants wend through the clouds Calling ships to my house The lady looks scared Browning orange peelings I invited her to talk me down from the ceiling

The Oak 02:23
In the casting room Formaldehyde and glue “Can I be alone?” The oak sways in my mind Arm numbing Safe rusting Ting, belong, blat Oh, and the mad enough and the sea flight and the cottage hail might damage the roof the goat might keep well, better, in fact, in flight in flight in flight

about

IIn 2012 I was living in a house that had a real-life piano. The bulk of the music I made that year was made on this piano, writing and even transcribing songs. In April of 2015, it seems I began work on new songs, which I then revisted in July, until in August, “Wend Unknown” finally congealed. A few of the songs on the album used, in whole or part, the piano compositions written three years prior (parts of these compositions were also used in “Americana”). The album also used, in mostly altered form, several songs written during the first session for “The Dark Ages”, though most lyrics were newly written for the album in 2015. New songs were also written.
